How does it work? through the magic of the internet, and the Zno Instant app. All you need is a cell phone, an OTG cable to connect your camera to the phone, and your camera. If you were at Imaging USA and you signed up there, they were giving away the bracket to mount your phone to the camera and the cable for free!
The first step you need to do is download the app. The app is free, you just find it in your App Store. From there you mount your phone to the camera with the bracket, and when you turn on the camera, the app automatically opens up. The next step is to start shooting your photos and they automatically start uploading to a gallery, which in Zno instant is called a "Roll". The Roll holds an unlimited amount of photos and holds them until you delete them. Each Roll is essentially a gallery. I use one Roll per event so that I can keep my events separate.
Each Roll also has its own QR code, that is generated when you purchase a Roll, so I can give the QR code to my Bride weeks before the wedding, so then she can print the QR code in the invitation, or place it in the centerpieces, so that the guests can see the images the day of the wedding as we are taking them.
There are a lot of options to customize the gallery before hand.
You also have the option of automatically adding a watermark to your photos as they upload, as well as turning on the option for Ai retouch! Zno Instant does have built in presets for retouch, but if you are using the Zno Retoucher, you can create a preset on there and that can be imported into Zno Instant and used on your images. The watermark does have to be uploaded before hand, but you can upload a PNG file with your name or logo, or anything you would like.
Ai Retouch:
On the Client end, this is what the gallery would look like on a cell phone:
So how have I been using this? Mainly for marketing. I have been to many weddings before where people will come up to me and say things like " you're doing a great job", so they see how I work and run around, but they haven't seen any images. It would be hard before to be at the wedding and be able to share images from my camera because they had to be edited. Now with Zno Instant, I can turn on my automatic uploads and share the images as I shoot them. At the beginning of the event, I am a bit more selective, so I have my Zno Instant on "manual upload" where I can manually select the images I will be uploading. Usually 2-3 images from the getting ready and 2-3 images from the ceremony, but when I'm walking around the reception getting photos with the grandma and the aunts/uncles, those are the images the guests care about. They can instantly see the great quality and can make the connection between the great photos and the hard work. Making the photos even more impressive. This has in turn helped me book weddings while I am at event. All without paying for extra marketing, or handing out business cards. The images market themselves! I've even been told there's a lot more developments coming down the pipe. For example you'll be able to push photos to Zno's online photo gallery called Zno Gallery, paywall images or even connect to Zno's print store!

Unique couples with unique stories. Meeting new people and seeing what they are about and listening to their stories really makes this profession a great experience. No two stories are alike and that's one of the amazing things about meeting with all these new couples. They always have a unique story about how they met and how the have persevered and stayed together against all odds.
]]>
Personally I think big bridal parties are fun. You have all of your best friends and family members together ready to have a good time. They are wild, they are rowdy, and they are loud. The problem comes when you need to gather everyone up for the formal pictures. "where's tony?" "oh he went to get a beer" and once you start to loose people, it's hard to get them back together again. So the photo tip of the day is, keep everyone together!

So this blog entry is pretty much to state the obvious....I kinda suck at blogging haha. When i was in high school and college, I was always told by my teachers that I was a strong writer, though I hated writing. Maybe because I was always given an assignment and topic to write about and never had the freedom to pick my own topic and write about what I truly wanted to write about. That makes a lot of sense to me now as to why it was difficult to write. This scenario is a little different though. I love taking pictures and showing them off but as always, finding content to write about is quite difficult. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to improve my blog writing skills? Any book recommendations? Blogging is a quality I feel could potentially help me in my business so i would love to improve on that. Any help will be welcome. Thank you in advanced.

]]>I think I have mentioned this before, but I'm a big fan of family pictures. You never realize how much time flies and we're all not getting any younger. Family pictures capture more than just a smile, or interaction. They capture a moment in time. It's always amazing to me to look back at my old family pictures and see how everyone has changed and grown. It seems that in a blink of an eye 10 years have passed and time doesn't seem to be wanting to slow down. I would say there's no such thing as too many family pictures because you'll never look back and wish you didn't spend all that time together. You always wish for more time with your loved ones.

Photography brings people together. One of the things I really enjoy about it. People can hire you to shoot their pictures, you get to know them and you build a relationship. They can become friends or maybe even family. Shooting photographs you have the privilege of working with people from all over, with different kinds of history and backgrounds. You hear different stories and you learn about different traditions and cultures which is definitely a mind opening/growing experience.
]]>
Sometimes I feel its hard to pick locations for a couple to shoot their engagement pictures. Some couples come to you with ideas and some come to you with expectations of you giving them locations for their pictures. I stay away from the "cookie cutter" engagement sessions. I would find it boring to have to shoot the same 2-3 places for every engagement session. Though sometimes it may be challenging to photograph a new place without previously having shot there, there is also a reward. The reward is getting to shoot something new and unique and being able to use your creativity to overcome the obstacle of shooting in an unfamiliar area.
]]>
Different couples from different backgrounds. Every couple you meet comes from somewhere unique. Their stories are unique. This is what makes me love what I do even more. Hearing everyone's love story is inspiring. It Let's you know that even today, when the odds seem impossible to find the one person you were meant to be with, you can find your person.
]]>
An interesting thing about weddings and a factor that makes everyone's wedding unique is the different personalities you deal with at each wedding. You get some people that are outgoing, shy, quiet, loud...a mixture of everything. I feel being able to adapt and work with all these personalities will make you get the best photographs possible. Sometimes it's not about the pose, but the emotion you are able to get out of your couples that will get you those great images.
]]>
There is always something about a couple expecting a baby that makes them glow.
]]>
Senior Portraits. To be honest I don't shoot senior portraits too often. I tend to stick to the different genres in wedding photography and portraits related to weddings. However, senior portraits are always a fun breathe of fresh air. They give you the opportunity to work with young adults who are excited to graduate and have their senior parties and graduation trips. They are always so full of life. It's interesting to see how they all have different ideas and goals. Definitely a fun photoshoot.

Raul & Clariza's Maternity Pictures in Mt. Baldy, CA. It was a pleasure getting a chance to photograph this couple on more time after I photographed their wedding at the end of 2013. It definitely gives me a good feeling that people are happy and are growing beautiful families.
]]>
Crazy schedules....Definitely one of the most common things you'll deal with if you are in the wedding industry. There is always a crazy schedule but they are always crazy for different reasons. Sometimes the flowers run late, or the bride will be stuck on the freeway....there is always something that can potentially mess up a time schedule at a wedding. My advice to brides and grooms that are stressing over the time line is always: "Don't really worry about the time line. You do want to set times aside for everything to ensure you won't forget a special event or dance, but don't expect it to go 100% to the schedule." If you expect something to go exactly as planned, you will not be a happy camper. You'll have to be flexible that day and be to make adjustments in order to have a more enjoyable day.
]]>
Small Preview of Andrea's Pre-Quinceañera pictures in Laguna Beach, CA. I love to take advantage of every opportunity to shoot at the beach. For some reason, i'm stuck on it. It may not always be the cleanest because of the sand and the water, but it's always a fun experience.
]]>
Andreina & Jonathan's Engagement session in Santa Monica, Ca. Definitely one for the books. The day was gloomy and a little cold, but something about it felt different....in a good way. The gloomy day provided some amazing and even light so that was one great thing. The second was running into one of my favorite wedding photographers, Jasmine Star. Seeing her and her husband shoot an engagement session in the same place i was shooting my engagement session definitely game me confidence and made me feel good about what i was doing. One of the things i feel is the most challenging about doing a shoot is posing. This seems to be a common obstacle across the wedding photography world because there is so much to know and learn and it can be overwhelming to try and learn how to pose. I definitely feel a huge improvement over the last couple of months and i am definitely proud of where I currently am as well as super excited to see where I will be in the next couple of months.
]]>
A Small Highlight of Mark & Sonia's Wedding at the Hacienda in Santa Ana, California. The venue was amazing. Definitely a hidden gem in the middle of the city. I had spoken to and met with Mark & Sonia a couple of times before the wedding and they did mention the wedding venue would be hidden but i didn't know it would be like this. I drove up to the venue and I was like "no way...it can't be the place they described and the place i saw in the pictures". To my surprise, as I walked in the venue, I was blown away! The venue was amazing inside and it maid for a great setting for such a beautiful wedding.
]]>Working for yourself has its many benefits, but one benefit I always had from working retail was i was always around great people. Those people started out as co-workers and would eventually grow to be friends. From the beginning you could tell these two individuals had something special for each other. When i met these people about 7-8 years ago, i never would have imagined that i would be taking their engagement pictures and then shooting their wedding years later. One of the things i miss the most about working retail is the co-workers and the bonds that you build with the people you spend most of your days with.
]]>
One of the things I love the most about photographing weddings is going out and photographing a couple for their engagement session. The adventures are always different and so are the stories. I get to explore new and exciting locations, all while hanging out with fun people, hearing their stories, and sharing the places they love to hang out, or where they met. The Engagement session gives me a chance to work with the couple before the wedding day. That way, if there is any fears or anxieties about taking pictures, they can be washed away. It makes for a better and smoother formal picture session on the wedding day.

]]>Best friends are like family and a lot of times, you find yourself spending more time with your friends, than you do with your family. You see your friends at school, at work, or just throughout the day. Its an honor to me to be able to shoot pictures for 2 of my best friends that are really more than that. They're more of a family. I'm happy and grateful to be a part of their wedding but in a way it's bitter/sweet. I would love to shoot pictures for them and capture their special moments, but since I am a part of the bridal party, that makes it super difficult. Regardless, I'm excited to be a part of such a special day in these kid's lives!
]]>
Little kids! They are definitely interesting creatures to me. Before my nephew was born, I didn't understand them. They cried, they smelled sometimes, and they where fragile. When people would tell me "babies are so cute" i didn't really see too many reasons as to why...Only because they where little? that wasn't a good enough reason for me. When my nephew was born, it suddenly all clicked together. I finally understood why everyone loved babies so much. They are so innocent, they are always learning, and they are curious. I sit there and wonder what kind of stuff must go through their head when they see something new. Things that adults take advantage of every day, a baby is amazed by....and I think that is amazing!

Martin V. Photography isn't just about wedding photography. I love shooting a variety of different genres and fields of photography. I feel It helps expand your creativity and it helps you from becoming bored with a certain subject. Shooting these pictures for my friends is always fun. They different ideas that I'm exposed to in the wedding world. In the end, i feel a good wedding photographer must be a good photographer in all the genres. A good wedding photographer must be able to photograph landscapes because you go to a wedding location and you want to be able to show off the landscape if it looks amazing and many times, couples will choose a wedding location because of how extravagant it looks. You must be a good architectural photographer because you shoot inside of churches and nice reception halls and you would want to be able to show that. You must be a good fashion photographer because you want to show off the bride's dresses and grooms suits in an elegant manner. You must be a good portrait photographer in order to pose your clients and make them feel comfortable in front of the camera. All these factors add up and i feel they make you a better photographer over all.
]]>
I love how the cherry blossoms in this park really made the bride and the dress pop out. They added a really nice and soft accent without distracting the eye away from the bride! These images where shot using a Canon 5D Mark III and the Canon 70-200mm f2.8L
]]>
One of the fun things about being a photographer is the opportunity to meet new and different people and have the opportunity to build friendships that can last a life time. Having an opportunity to photograph friends over and over across span of years is one of the greatest feelings you can get from photography. You get to see people grow, develop, and change. I love hearing their stories of how their kids and families are growing and how they are reaching their goals and dreams. Never any dull moments!
]]>
It's a very nice feeling when your friends or co-workers have faith in you to capture their most cherished moments in life. They could have gone to anyone else and gotten someone else for their pictures or video and they believe enough in your to trust you. The feeling is amazing. I met Stephen when i worked at Best Buy a couple of years back and I never would have thought he would pick me to shoot pictures at his wedding. These are just a few of the many great engagement pictures we got that day.
All images where shot with the 5D Mark III and either the 35mm f1.4L or the 70-200mm f2.8L

The Historic Mission inn. One of the most requested places that couples come to me with when it comes time to shoot. Not going to lie, I love shooting there. There are so many places to shoot and so many things you can do there. Only thing is, you need special permission to shoot. That's good and bad. If you are hired to shoot a wedding there, it ensures that no one gets in your way and you have the freedom to do whatever you would like, especially if you're on a time crunch. The bad thing about it is, security is really strict and will kick you out of the building if you do not have a permit. This day we got a lucky break and caught a chance to get a permit and shoot some pictures at the mission inn. It was an amazing experience because there was no rush. We could take all the time we wanted in every spot we wanted. I can't wait for another opportunity to shoot there!
]]>
]]>
I've never had the opportunity to photograph a pet until I got to photograph this giant puppy. I'm not going to lie...it was tough....fun but tough. The hard part about photographing pets is that you cannot communicate as effectively with them. You can't tell the puppy to walk a certain direction or sit up straight. The pet's owner has more of an advantage when it comes to communicating with their pet, but it is not guaranteed that the pet will listen. This experience taught me that I am not a pet photographer haha, even though I love animals.
]]>
I've Known this guy for about 12 years. Honestly one of my best friends. This was a kind of last minute/unplanned shoot but it got us some amazing pictures!
]]>
Always a pleasure photographing my friend's families. It really makes me feel good that they trust in me enough to capture these special family moments that they will cherish forever.
]]>
One thing that I hear a lot when I photograph families is "we haven't taken family pictures in years" or "we have never taken family pictures". Just today I was looking for some family pictures and I honestly could not find any. It made me sad. I can see how easy it is for families to forget about pictures or to overlook the importance of taking family pictures. The thing is, one day you'll look back and wish you had the pictures, but once a moment is gone, its gone forever. So please don't overlook an opportunity to get your family together and shoot some pictures. Make it fun. Dress up, have some lunch, and spend an evening with a photographer.
]]>
This was a fun group! It always surprises me how fast time flies. You meet a couple a year before their wedding and next thing you know, the wedding is around the corner. One of the good things about being a wedding photographer.
]]>]]>
Just a few of the people I call family. We shot this pictures super short notice and a little rushed but we got some good results. We need some new ones though. I didn't want to look back when i was old and wish i had more pictures with my family so I had to do something about it
]]>
Throughout my Wedding Photography Journey i have met many couples with different backgrounds and stories. All the couples are different but they all have one thing in common; they love each other and are willing to commit to one another. That's what makes what i do so amazing. I get to witness and be a part of so many people's special day. Its an honor and a privilege to get to do that for people.
]]>
Weddings are always a challenge in their own way. But that is also the fun part about them. They force you to push your creative limits and make amazing memories that will last a lifetime in your couple's memories.
]]>
This wedding was an amazing production! The ceremony was beautiful followed by an amazing reception. What I love about weddings is the relationships you get to build with your clients. They come into the office and meet you, then you spend a lot of time with them talking about the details they're having, their unique decorations, their own twist. You travel the wedding planning journey with a couple and most of the time you end up being great friends. Which is an amazing feeling!
]]>
I love it when a couple comes up to me with an idea of what they want in their pictures. Sure its fun and exciting when the client gives you 100% control of the entire engagement session but you're always taking a gamble and I always wonder "what if the clients do like this location or what if it doesn't fit their style of images." In the end, if a couple gives me input about the types of pictures they would like and i bring in their ideas and put my own twist to it, it makes the process a lot easier and both parties end up with pictures they will be proud of and happy to share with all of their friends and family
]]>It was truly an honor for an opportunity to photograph my cousin and his family. Over the last couple of months, I have really grown to cherish and appreciate the magic of family pictures. Something about those images. You can always look back and remember the good times. I remember when we were younger, me and my sister would make a mess in my mom's room going through the tons of pictures that we had of our family growing up. Those moments were truly amazing! I believe its a rare occasion when someone regrets taking a picture or being in a picture, but it really is easy regret capturing such a special moment....so be sure to take lots of pictures! and share them! print them, email them, post them on the wall!
]]>
They always say time flies when you're having fun. I met with Kimberly about a year before her wedding. She decided to book and it seemed like 2 weeks later, her wedding day had arrived. Be sure to enjoy all the little moments in life because next thing you know, you'll look back and 10 years passed. You want to make sure your memories are filled with joy and happiness!
]]>
Not sure how, but I got dragged to Jonathan's birthday and I got the opportunity to shoot pictures. It was a great night! Drinks, dancing, and fun! Hopefully i get a chance to take pictures at his parties every year till this guy turns 100!
]]>
Its always a pleasure to photograph your friends. This was the second time I got the privilege of shooting pictures for such a wonderful family. Their daughter is growing up so fast!!
]]>This is just a small sample of the many favorites from Jessica's Quinceañera. Honestly, I sometimes think the Quinceañera/sweet 16 is a lot harder to photograph than a wedding. There aren't as many events that go on in a quince and most of the events that happen are quick and people are moving. It keeps you on your toes and forces you to think ahead though, so you plan your shots ahead of time, which is a good thing I think.
]]>This shoot was different than my ordinary shoots. On a regular basis, I work with the general public. People that are just regular people. Though Mia is a regular person herself, she also happens to be a photographer. This made my job a little harder. Photographers know about angles and image sharpness, color....so it can be a bit more stressful when it comes to fresh ideas and unique shots. One of the curses of being a photographer is always picking a picture apart. While an untrained eye looks at what catches their attention, usually facial expressions when it comes to portraits, a photographer will scan the picture to make sure its in focus, analyze the color, and maybe even check to composition. Then you think of ways you can improve it haha. Yeah. At times, all that goes through my mind. I can see why a photographer would be picky with who can photograph them. Looking at these pictures though, I'm glad Mia trusted me with capturing such a special moment for her and her daughter.
]]>Shooting Quinceañera's i believe is a lot harder than shooting weddings. You don't have as much stuff to work with. No groom and no bridal party, though in most cases, quinceañeras do have a court, they can be tricky at times. Only having boys and no girls, or a couple of girls, which i find it can make it tricky to shoot. This girl was great though, one of the most outgoing and personable people I have met in a long time. She had a great time and we definitely had a great time capturing her special day!
]]>
I'm always always always thankful when brides and grooms give me the opportunity to capture such special memories for them. I met Stephanie through a mutual friend a couple of years back and it was a pleasure for me to photograph her and her husband Saul on their wedding day!
]]>
Definitely one of the fanciest dresses I have ever seen in person for a baptism! She made me chase her around but i loved the energy this little girl had. She was definitely a joy to shoot. I get to shoot her along with her parents this weekend coming up and i'm really looking forward to it. Be on the lookout for her family pictures in the near future!
]]>Im excited for this couple's wedding! Had a great time hanging out with these guys! We got to go to the beach and have a fun shoot, then drive around the roads of orange county looking for a chronic taco. It was good!! But not the best i ever had haha sorry Kevin. Maybe next time we drive out there we can find the actual chronic taco that you wanted to go to. Im looking forward to your wedding! Its just around the corner!

I knew Rachel from high school. I remember seeing her around but i knew her younger sister Emily a lot better. As some of you know, (some don't) i played clarinet in high school and Emily used to sit next to me in band. We didn't talk for a while, but she contacted me in the spring and asked me if I could shoot pictures at her sisters wedding. Of course i was excited. I was extra happy because the wedding was at the Kimberly Crest house in Redlands, CA. I had gone there years before and I told my self, one day I'll be shooting a wedding here, and a couple of years later, there i was. It was a beautiful wedding! I got a lot of amazing images! Thank you Rudy & Rachel for making one of my dreams come true and for making me a part of your big day!
]]>
Shooting events for someone that is a close friend is for some reason, a lot harder to shoot. In my opinion. This was my friend Ron's Daughter's quinceañera and you always want the best for your friends. You always try and get the best pictures possible. Not that I don't always try my best with regular clients, but when you're shooting for someone you have known for a while, it seems to add more pressure. It meant a lot to me to be able to shoot this event, not only because I have known Ron for a while, but because he knows so many people in the event industry and he chose me to capture one of the moments that meant so much to him.

Pictures were shot by Oscar Ruvalcaba
I had the opportunity to meet Ruben & Barbara at a bridal expo early in the spring. They were an amazing couple. Very friendly people for sure. Though i did not get a chance to photograph their wedding, i was able to send a good friend of mine, Oscar. He did a great job capturing so many special moments for Ruben and Barbara and is a great addition to the Martin V. Photography team of photo experts.
]]>Baby pictures! This was baby Zoe's first photo shoot ever! The thing with photographing babies is, you have to work quick. Babies get tired easily and the longer you make them pose, and wait there, the harder your job gets. You want the baby to be as comfortable as possible and you want to keep the baby happy. Nothing screams super cute baby pictures like a crying baby right? haha. Those are good to have, but you don't want 100% of the baby's pictures to be of the baby crying. so todays baby tips: keep the baby comfortable, keep the shoot quick, and give the baby some breaks.
]]>First time i have ever taken wedding pictures at the cocoa palm. I had been there before to eat dinner, and i shot a wedding video there before on the outside patio. The cocoa palm never disappoints. The views are great and the food is good. Though this wedding was in open sunlight in the middle of July, the photos captured were amazing. Everything came together really well to make this day really special for Ivan and Ashley!
]]>
I'm Back! I checked and i haven't written a blog since october 16th. It is now December 7th. The end of wedding season this year was super busy. I'm not caught up with my editing 100% but i'm backing up some files and i figured i had a couple of minutes to update this meanwhile my drives cleared up. Babies are always a joy to photograph. Though they can be difficult to photograph at times. It can be frustrating to parents and babies but i think when the kids get older, these are memories both the parents and the child will cherish. Once babies are grown, you can't go back in time and photograph them so if the moment is missed, it may be lost forever. My suggestion is photograph your kids. Take as many pictures as you can. They will bring so much joy in the future!

It was kinda like taking pictures of my little sister. Elizabeth's dad is a really good friend of mine. When he asked me to take her pictures for her pre-quince, i expected to have a couple of hours with them, planning a shoot, choosing a location and time....haha didn't happen that way. It was a "hey what are you doing right now?" type of photo shoot. Had to put it together in about 20-30 min but we still managed to pull it through!
]]>This little guy is always so full of energy! haha always running around making me chase him. One of the reasons photographers have to be physically fit.
